Understanding contact details and marketing consent

The capture flow requires an email address. First name, last name, and marketing consent are optional. Email verification establishes access to the email address; it is not the same as agreeing to marketing.

Where marketing consent is presented, Gluuer records the visitor's choice and maintains consent history with relevant timestamps. A later request should not be treated as permission to ignore an earlier consent record.

You can include your own privacy-policy link in the capture experience. Use it to explain how you handle the information people provide.

Before following up or moving contacts to another platform, review the consent associated with those contacts. Gluuer's automatic marketing follow-up requires opt-in and the Magnet's other eligibility conditions.

Keep resource delivery and marketing permission separate in your own wording. A person can want your file without wanting additional promotional messages. Do not label every verified contact as a subscriber solely because they accessed a resource.

If a person requests more than one Magnet, their consent choices can form a history rather than a single value with no context. When using the contact outside Gluuer, apply the consent record that is relevant to your intended communication and the laws and policies that apply to your organisation.
