Replacing a resource without changing its Magnet Link

Resource replacement is available on Lite and Pro. It lets you update the file or destination URL behind an existing Magnet while keeping its public link.

Open the existing Magnet and use its resource-replacement controls rather than creating a separate Magnet. A replacement file must meet your current plan's file-size limit.

Replacement preserves the Magnet's public identifier, contacts, history, analytics, settings, creation date, and QR/embed association. People accessing a File Magnet after replacement receive the new file. Previously downloaded copies on recipients' devices are not updated.

Test the public experience after replacing the resource. For a URL replacement, also check the new destination's sharing permissions.

Free does not include resource replacement. A different resource on Free requires a different Magnet within the plan's allowance. Deleting and recreating a Magnet is not equivalent to replacement because a new Magnet does not inherit the old public link.

Replacement is best suited to revisions of the same resource, such as an updated guide, corrected document, or new destination for the same offer. If the subject and promise have changed substantially, creating a separate Magnet can keep the contacts and performance history easier to interpret.
