What is the follow-up, and how does it work?
Gluuer's follow-up is one automatic email connected to a specific Magnet. It is available on Lite and Pro and is sent only to eligible contacts who chose to opt in to marketing. Free does not include this feature.
Think of the follow-up as the first step of an email sequence. Its job is not to complete an entire sales process in one message. Its job is to introduce you, connect the message to the resource the person requested, and give that person a simple reason to reply.
The best outcome is a human response. Once the lead replies, you can continue the conversation personally, learn what they need, answer a question, and decide whether your product or service is relevant. This makes the follow-up particularly useful for consultants, service providers, coaches, agencies, creators, and anyone whose sales process benefits from a real conversation.
The basic flow is:
- A visitor opens your Magnet Link.
- They enter and verify their email address.
- They choose whether to opt in to marketing.
- They access your file or URL.
- If they opted in and meet the Magnet's follow-up rules, Gluuer sends the follow-up you activated for that Magnet.
- If they reply, their response goes to the reply address associated with your account.
Email verification and marketing consent are different. Verification confirms that the person can access the inbox and receive the resource. It does not give permission to send the automatic marketing follow-up. The contact must opt in for that message to be eligible.
Gluuer sends one follow-up rather than a multi-email campaign. If you later need newsletters, longer sequences, contact scoring, or several automated branches, export eligible contacts on Lite or Pro and use a dedicated email marketing or CRM platform. Gluuer's built-in follow-up gives you a simple place to begin.
