Why is my lead not receiving my follow-up?
First, check whether the lead opted in to marketing. Email verification and marketing opt-in are separate. A person can verify their email, access your resource, and appear as a contact without agreeing to receive your automatic follow-up.
If the contact did not opt in, Gluuer should not send the marketing follow-up. This protects the contact's choice and helps keep resource access separate from permission to receive additional messages.
If the contact did opt in, check the following:
- Confirm that your account is on Lite or Pro. Free does not include the automatic follow-up.
- Open the correct Magnet and make sure its follow-up is enabled and saved.
- Check that the lead requested that same Magnet. Follow-up settings belong to an individual Magnet.
- Confirm that the lead completed email verification. Entering an address without completing the access flow is not the same as becoming an eligible verified contact.
- Ask the lead to check spam, junk, promotions, and other filtered folders.
- Confirm that the email address was entered correctly and belongs to an inbox the lead can access.
- Make sure the Magnet and your paid-plan eligibility are still active.
The 8-digit access-code email and your follow-up are different messages. Receiving the access code proves that the verification email arrived, but it does not prove that the person chose the separate marketing opt-in.
To test the setup, use an email address you control and complete the public Magnet flow from the beginning. Choose the marketing opt-in, verify the address, access the resource, and then check the inbox and filtered folders. Do not use a test that skips consent, because that contact is not eligible for the automatic marketing follow-up.
Also confirm that your reply address is correct. This does not decide whether the follow-up is delivered, but it does decide where the lead's response goes after receiving it.
If the message still does not arrive after these checks, record the Magnet Link, the approximate time of the test, the address used, and what happened at each step. Share those details with Gluuer support, but never include an access code or sign-in code.
