Can I replace the file without changing my Magnet Link?
Yes, resource replacement is available on Lite and Pro. Use the replacement action on the existing Magnet rather than deleting it or creating a new one. The new file must be an accepted type and fit the maximum size for your current plan.
Replacement keeps the public Magnet Link, public identifier, contacts, analytics, history, creation date, and QR or embed association. Once the replacement succeeds, new recipients receive the new file. Copies that people previously downloaded to their own devices remain unchanged.
Free does not include resource replacement. On Free, changing to another file requires a different File Magnet within the plan allowance. Because Free allows one File Magnet, this can mean permanently deleting the old one before creating the new one. That creates a new public link, and the deleted link cannot be restored or reassigned. Keep your own backup of both files and test the public experience after any change.
